NORMALIZE Microdosing!
Microdosing work is guided by process rather than outcome.
The focus is on learning how subtle shifts show up across days and weeks, how patterns emerge, and how to respond thoughtfully rather than push for results. Guidance emphasizes intention-setting, rhythm, and reflection, allowing the work to integrate naturally into real life.
Rather than following a rigid protocol, each program adapts to the individual, supporting discernment, responsibility, and ongoing relationship with the practice.
Microdosing offers a steady, intentional way to engage psychedelic work within daily life.
Rather than focusing on peak or immersive experiences, these programs emphasize rhythm, consistency, and relationship with the sacrament over time. The work unfolds gradually, supporting awareness, emotional clarity, and meaningful change without requiring withdrawal from everyday responsibilities.
Microdosing is often chosen by those seeking a grounded, ongoing practice that supports insight, balance, creativity, and intentional living.

Microdosing Foundations: How to geT started
This quick-start guide is designed to help you begin microdosing informed, intentionally, and with realistic expectations. Microdosing is not a shortcut or a fix – it is a practice. The medicine supports the work; it does not replace it.
Core Principle
Psilocybin is an amplifier.
● It does not create anxiety – it reveals it
● It does not cause fatigue – it highlights it
● Adjust sleep, hydration, grounding, and routine before adjusting dose
Information comes before change.
Before You Begin
● Be calm and grounded
● Avoid starting a microdosing practice while highly anxious, dysregulated, or sleep-deprived
● This is not for crisis management
● Set a clear or general intention before starting (write it down)
Dosing
● Full dose (reference): ~1 gram dried mushrooms
● Microdose range: 0.1g–0.5g (100–500mg)
● Suggested starting dose: 0.1 to .15g (100-150mg)
It should be “just-perceptual” NOT “sub-perceptual” - You should feel different but not impaired.
Target effect:
● No impairment
● No “high”
● Subtle clarity, presence, or awareness
If you feel overstimulated or distracted → dose is too high
If you feel nothing after multiple days → dose may be too low
Adjust slowly.
Protocol (30-Day Starting Point)
● Brain Power Stack
○ 4 Days on 3 Days off ■ Example: ● Monday–Thursday: Microdose
● Friday–Sunday: Off
● Psilocybin only ○ 5 Days on 2 Days off ■ Example:
● Monday–Friday: Microdose
● Saturday–Sunday: Off
You can adjust on and off days as you see fit. If Sun-Thurs work for you best, etc. that’s fine.
Purpose of off days:
● Contrast days - Gives perspective of how the microdose has been impacting your reality
● Prevent tolerance and maintain sensitivity
● Support long-term benefit - consistency over intensity
After 30 days, reassess.
Best Practices
● Dose at the same time each day
● First day: leave space after dosing (1-2 hours) (avoid starting on a work day)
● Stay hydrated
● Eat clean, light meals
● Journal briefly, especially in the first weeks
● Change behavior before changing dose
● Again - Consistency over intensity
What Microdosing Is NOT
● A psychedelic trip
● A replacement for therapy or integration
● A solution without effort
If you’re trying to “fix” something urgently, pause.
FAQ’s
Will I trip? No. A microdose should be “just-perceptual” and should not impair functioning. You should feel it, but not feel impaired.
What happens if I don’t take days off? Tolerance builds and benefits often diminish.
Are there side effects? Rare, but may include headache, slight nausea, or dry mouth. Usually resolved by adjusting dose, hydration, or diet.
Most uncomfortable responses (anxiety, tiredness, nausea) are not side effects - they’re signals.
Does it interact with medications? No widely documented dangerous interactions. Medications that act on serotonin (e.g., SSRIs) will likely blunt effects and require dosage adjustments. Reach out for 1:1 support if unsure.
Final Note
Microdosing is most effective when it’s paired with intention, discipline, and daily practice. Without structure, insights tend to fade. With structure, they compound.
This guide is meant to be a starting point, not a complete system.
If you want to deepen your preparation, daily practice, and integration, those pathways are explored more fully in:
● 5 Pillars of Microdosing (coming February 2026) – a structured framework for intentional, responsible microdosing
● The Daily Flow™: A Practical Guide to Mental Wellness
You can find my guide and Daily Flow Microdose Companion on the Resources page
For those seeking ongoing guidance and accountability, I also offer microdosing and integration coaching programs (BELOW) designed to provide structured support, personalized pacing, and real-world integration.
Microdosing isn’t about the dose alone. It’s about what you build around it.
Microdose pathways
Psilo Temple offers several distinct pathways into this work. Each is shaped by how people want to engage—gradually or immersively, individually or collectively.
